Q&A:

  • I was inspired to become an Athletic Therapist when, as a teenager, I saw a female therapist attend to an athlete on TV (yeah I'm old - it was uncommon back then ok!). I always knew I wanted to be in healthcare, and Athletic Therapy seemed like the perfect career! I was further inspired by Mark Lafave, Dexter Nelson, Ben Trunzo and Glen Bergeron during my studies.

  • I tell all of my clients to move daily - not rocket science - but so so so important.

  • People are surprised by the depth and breadth of our knowledge. We are amazing!

  • One of my most memorable successes is when I was able to quickly get a hockey player back on the ice (after a tape job) where he proceeded to score an overtime goal to win provincials!

  • Little known fact about me...I'm left handed, but play most sports right handed because I was the only left-handed student in my K-Gr8 school and they didn't have any leftie equipment! I picked up running (no equipment needed!) and have completed three 1/2 marathons (all at sea level!) in the past 10 years.
