Q&A:

  • I love sport and watching humans perform great feats of athleticism. I also come from a family of engineers and builders. I had the vision of staying involved in sport in some fashion as an adult and I at first thought of being a sport medicine physician but that wasn't answering the question fully. When I learned about athletic therapy and influencing movement and performance, I knew that was the answer to combining my engineering brain with a practice of studying and improving human movement.

  • It takes time for the body to learn new ways of moving and make change in capacity and capability. Be consistent in doing the repetitions, just like when we all put in the time to learn how to write.

  • The approach of looking at the whole body as a system of interconnected parts.

  • Becoming an integral part of a multi-disciplinary physical medicine and rehabilitation clinic and changing the way musculoskeletal medicine is delivered.
