Q&A:

  • I was always involved in sports growing up and loved it. I knew that if I could find a career that would continue to let me be involved in sports it wouldn't feel like work and I'd be helping people accomplish their goals. I had a shoulder injury that was misdiagnosed at 16 by a variety of practitioners and physicians. Going into AT was a no brainer, I wanted to be able to step up to help athletes advocate for themselves and ensure that their injuries were not missed and referred out as needed.

  • Not all rehab is fun. Honestly it sucks, it can be time consuming, frustrating, and difficult. The grind is worth it though, being able to go back to sport or pick up your nieces and nephews makes the suck that is rehab worthwhile. Putting in the hard work for a short amount of time to be able to do what you want to do and not worry about pain or mobility is long term gain.

  • Not a lot of people know what AT is so explaining who we are, what we do, and that we exist as a profession is surprising to most people. Outside of that, the amount of education and knowledge AT's have in a variety of topics from anatomy, physiology and biomechanics seems to be surprising.

  • On Field: I love it when athletes introduce me to their friends or their parents, the trust they place in me to manage their injury and get them back doing what they love is by far one of my greatest accomplishments.

In Clinic: Word of mouth referrals, client's that send in their family and friends are my greatest success. It means that client's are seeing results and want people in their lives to be able to be pain free, move well and accomplish their goals too.

  • I wasn't born in Canada. I've competed at an international level for BMX Racing.
