Q&A:

  • I grew up with a heavy involvement in sports and after sustaining an injury of my own I was introduced to Athletic Therapy. I have always had a passion for sports science and learning the many roles of an Athletic Therapist both in the field and in clinic caught my interest. I was intrigued that I could work in the health industry and help people learn about their body, provide tools to help them recover from injury and guide them in their return to full participation in activities and sports.

  • Every person's journey from injury back to full health looks different and with constant communication we can find the right pathway.

  • That exercise plays such a huge role in rehabilitation and that the way the exercises are introduced, the quality of movement performed and the use of manual therapy to help with the exercise makes all the difference.

  • As an Athletic Therapist there are successes that are celebrated every day!! This is a reason why I love my job. Successes include helping someone achieve relief from their pain, gain more range of motion, acquire function that allows them ease with activities of daily living, building strength that is beyond that which they had before injury, providing someone with confidence to return to their previous or to new activities, watching someone put in the effort in their rehabilitation and overcome their injury completely.
